Beacon Hill Engagement session

So this post is a little late in coming but as they say better late than never. When you come round to selecting a location for an engagement shoot you can go along a few different lines! If you have a location that is very important to you then picking one of those spots may be something you might consider. Choosing a location for example where you proposed might be great and would tie in nicely. Picking a place in Boston maybe where you first met or a place that has great meaning to you might be something else that you could go with. Talking things through with your Boston wedding photographer will always help when making this choice.

A great location and one that I have photographed a number of times is Beacon Hill. A Beacon Hill engagement session is the one place that is sure to give you some really fantastic photos from your engagement session. This part of town with it’s old buildings and of Acorn Street is quintessentially Boston and taking some photos of the two of you together on this street would be memories for years to come. You have more time with an engagement session as well so you’ll be able to explore the surrounding area a little more than on you actual New England wedding day let’s say. Beacon Hill has a number of different locations that you could try and build into an engagement shoot and with this amount of variety in one place really does make it such a good choice of venue.

Of course it isn’t the only place in town but being just a short walk away from the Boston Public Gardens it means that you could incorporate these as well and get some completely different photos and feels to the session as a whole. Boston wedding photographers are known to know a few little secret spots as well that you may not have thought of either and so sitting down and chatting with them about where exactly you would like to shoot and the photos that you hope to get out of it as well will mean that they can help you to achieve this from the day. Having photos taken for an engagement session are really great way of getting to know and working with your photographer as well in Boston but I’ll leave that post for the next one.

All the best for now!
